DIY - Advent Calendar 2017

Create your own advent calendar with this new tutorial from the great Clarisse by Tiny little Craft.

Material

Layer paper
Silver gift wrap
Odif golden glitter varnish
Golden cord
80 x 60 cm wooden frame
scissors
sewing machine
numbers in felt
star punch
round perforator
straw paper

Step 1 – Pockets

Make in tracing paper and silver gift wrap paper, 24 pockets of 8x5cm.
Apply Odif golden glitter varnish to 8 of them to cover them with a thin glitter film.
Sew the 24 pockets on 3 sides (if you don’t have a sewing machine, a simple transparent tape will do!)
Punch the top of each pouch with the star punch to create a star-shaped hook
Place the white felt stickers on each pouch

Step 2 – The glittery confetti

Make confetti in glitter paper using star and round perforators

Step 3 –gifts

Choose 24 small gifts (small plastic items – small jewels – Advent sandblasts…) and slip one in each bag, sprinkled with the bottom of the 24 bags of glittery confetti.

For my part, I chose to make small homemade shortbread (flour – butter – sugar) to be placed in 15 pouches. In the other 10, I alternate between small jewels and small plastic animals repainted in white to give them a winter look and glitter with the golden glitter varnish Odif.
