It's almost back to school !
Here is the perfect kit to put all your pencils, scissors, markers ... and will make a difference on the tables!
Glue spray 909 Odif
2 cloths of 25 x 25 cm
25 x 25 cm fleece
1 zipper (approx. 25 cm)
Matching tassel (ring and clip to fix it)
Cutting board, ruler and rotary cutter
Using a flat brush, coat the 2 fabric squares with a thin coat of Odicoat. Leave to dry for about 20 minutes.
Repeat the same operation twice.
Protect the soleplate fabric from the iron by covering it with a sheet of greaseproof paper and fix the Odicoat at medium temperature.
Spray 909 glue on the reverse side of one of the coated fabric squares and stick it on the fleece.
Using the rotary cutter, cut the 2 fabric squares in half on the cutting board.
Over the length of the rectangle, overlap the coated fabric without fleece (back side up), with the zipper centred (front side up) and end with the fabric with fleece (fleece up). Pin with sewing clamps to avoid puncturing the coated fabric.
Install the zipper presser foot on the machine and sew on all thicknesses. Repeat steps 5 and 6 on the other side of the zipper with the remaining fabric rectangles.
Turn right side out and topstitch along both sides of the zipper.
Fold the assembly back outwards as shown in the photo and pin.
Change the presser foot on the machine, then sew to close the bottom of the case. Reinforce the seam with zigzag stitch.
Center the zipper on the bottom seam of the kit as shown in the photo.
Sew the end by doing a few stitches backwards at the zipper then reinforce the seam with zig-zag stitch as shown in the picture and then cut the threads and the excess of the zipper.
Repeat steps 10 and 11 at the other end of the kit.
Flatten the corners of the kit by centering the seam on the triangle that forms.
Make a seam about 3 to 5 cm from the tip (this seam determines the height of the kit) on the 4 corners.
Cut the corners 0.5 cm from the seam.
Reinforce corner seams at zig-zag stitch. Stop the threads and cut them again.
Turn the kit on its side. Attach the tassel to the zipper.
That's it, the kit is ready !
